Studies on Sensitivity to Various Antibiotics of Causative Microorganisms of Pyodermas

Abstract
From fresh pyodermic lesions culture and sensitivity tests to various antibiotics such as erythromycin, kanamycin, sigmamycin, chloramphenicol, terramycin, streptomycin and pen-
icillin were performed.
The results are as follows;
(1) 35 strains were isolated of which staphylococci were in 28 strains (80%), Rhemolytic streptococci were in 5 strains (14,3%), ahemolytic streptococci were in 2 strains (5.7%).
(2) All of the isolated staphylococci were positive to serum coagulase test.
(3) Coagulase positive staphylococci showed resistance to penicillin in 100%, to streptomycin and terramycin in 60.6%, to chloramphenical in 32.1%, to sigmamycin in 28.6% and all of these strains were sensitive to erythromycin and kanamycin,
(4) j6hemolytic streptococci and ahemolytic streptococci were sensitive to erythromycin, kanamycin, sigmamycin chloramphenicol and penicillin where as 2 strains of flhemolytic streptococci and one strain of a hemolytic streptococci showed resistance to streptomycin and one strain respectively to terramycin. It was noticed that streptococci were sensitive especially to penicillin.
